Employees are pasting confidential information into chatGPT

Thousands of employees have been pasting confidential data into ChatGPT, raising concerns about potential leaks and prompting some companies to ban or restrict access to the AI chatbot.


The proportion of workers pasting internal data into ChatGPT has more than doubled in less than a month, reaching 6.5%.


Amazon has warned staff not to paste confidential data into ChatGPT, while JPMorgan and Verizon have banned the software altogether.


Samsung has reportedly limited staff access to ChatGPT and is developing its own AI chatbot for internal use.
